Hi, I’m Emily and I’m fundraising for the London Landmarks Half Marathon in support of Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals Charity. I work as a Healthcare Assistant on the Surgical Assessment Ward at DRI, so I see first-hand the difference that extra funding can make to patients, families and staff every single day.
Working on the ward has shown me just how important those extras are — from improved equipment and patient comforts to services and support that help make difficult hospital experiences a little easier. That’s why I’m so proud to be taking on this challenge and raising money for a charity that does so much for our hospitals and local community.
