How do I fundraise?

add remove

When you register for one of our events, you will be encouraged to set up your personal fundraising page upon completion. Once setup you can let your family, friends, co-workers, neighbours – basically everyone know about your event and share with them your fundraising goals and ask them for a donation.

What is the fundraising target?

add remove

Some of our events such as our Skydive have set fundraising targets to guarantee your place. This is because some of the costs of organising the event are recovered from your sponsorship.

Other events, we have no target and we just ask our supporters to raise as much as they can.

Where will my fundraising go?

add remove

Here at Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals Charity, we are passionate about doing our bit to shape the future of the health service. Our goal is to fund projects which go ‘above and beyond’, aiding our colleagues in delivering outstanding care, above the limitations of the usual NHS budget.

The funds you help us raise make life-changing projects a reality. For example, our recently opened Serenity Suite is a calming space to care for families during the heartache of baby loss.

Your funds also contribute to improvement projects, such as this x-ray artwork, which helps distract nervous patients.

During the pandemic, our charitable funds were vital in supporting staff wellbeing projects, such as the introduction of the adorable Magnus the Therapy Dog!

This is just a selection of some of the incredible projects our charity has funded, enabled by the excellent fundraising efforts of our community.

How do I pay in my money?

add remove

Where possible, we recommend that you ask people to donate directly to your fundraising page. That way any money you raise will automatically come direct to us and you don’t have to chase anyone to collect their money. If you’ve collected offline donations you can pay the money you raise by sending a cheque made payable to 'Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals Charity', Communications & Engagement Office, Doncaster Royal Infirmary, Thorne Road, Doncaster, DN2 5LT. You can also pay online through our charity website here:

If you would like to pay via bank transfer, please contact us on dbth.charity@nhs.net

Please ensure to ask your supporters to fill out a sponsorship form and tick the Gift Aid box if applicable.
