About our charity
Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals Charity is the official charity which supports Doncaster Royal Infirmary, Bassetlaw Hospital and Montagu Hospital to go above and beyond by providing additional equipment, services and amenities for our patients, visitors and staff which cannot be funded by the NHS alone.
Over the years, with thanks to the support we receive from our outstanding communities, we have re-invested millions into life changing, lifesaving projects across Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals (DBTH). Some of our most recent investments include:
- Revolutionising our surgical teams by funding the ‘Intuitive da Vinci Xi’ Surgical Robot which will transform the way Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust performs cancer surgery, specifically for colorectal cancer patients in the first instance.
- Creating a dedicated bereavement suite for maternity, supporting families going through the heartache of baby loss for Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
- Funding Memory boxes for end of life patients providing a special keepsake box for their loved ones treasures, whilst also providing special memory making opportunities such as finger print kits.

Could help purchase items for memory boxes for end of life patients to keep their treasures and provide memory making keepsakes such as finger print ink kits to help them remember their loved ones.

Could fund five Learning Disability VIP bags for vulnerable adults who need to visit hospital to help make their experience that little bit easier. The bag will include their hospital passport so colleagues know how to care for them alongside sensory aids to help ease anxiety.
