The Why?
I simply love to give back and support others and ensure my business Holly’s Handmades 22 does the same. This passion of mine stems from struggling with my own mental health, experiencing some truly dark days and knowing how debilitating it can be.
I don’t wish for anyone to feel, to live and struggle like I have. So I aim to give back where I can, offer compliments and bring joy to others through my art.
Getting involved in charity fundraising events are always fun and challenging.
I’ve taken part in Colour Dash Runs, Race for Life and Bare all for the Polar Bears. I’ve taken part in dechoc, sit up, squat, yoga and walking challenges. I’ve even held my own burlesque-athon
The biggest and most proud challenge I’ve done was Brave The Shave raising the most money for charity and donating my hair to The Little Princess Trust all live at my workplace for people to watch.
But this one is definitely a huge challenge for me.
I’ve lived in fear since my trauma. I struggle with anxiety and I’m scared of heights. I’m choosing to not let fear rule my life and this challenge will certainly test me.
The fact I can conquer a fear while supporting an incredible charity will be a double win and something I’ll always be so proud of 💚
