On Sunday 10 May, I will be running the Leeds Half Marathon for Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals Charity in loving memory of my grandad, John Henry Peters.
He was cared for by the staff at Doncaster Royal Infirmary and the care, kindness and support they showed to him and our family meant so much during a very difficult time.
Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals Charity is the official charity that supports Doncaster Royal Infirmary, Bassetlaw Hospital and Montagu Hospital.
I’m inspired by the incredible work of the charity, so I wanted to give something back by fundraising my way and taking on this challenge in his memory.
Running 13.1 miles won’t be easy, but it feels like a meaningful way to honour my grandad while supporting a cause that makes such a real difference to so many people.
Please help me support this amazing charity by donating whatever you can.
Every contribution, no matter how small, is hugely appreciated.
The more people who know about the charity, the greater their impact, so please also consider sharing my page with friends and family.
Thank you so much in advance for your generosity - it truly means a lot to me.
