We are delighted to invite you, our brave supporters, to take the pledge and go over the edge of Doncaster Royal Infirmary to help raise vital funds for Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals' Charity on Saturday 25th April. 

You'll be joining a team of wonderful people, just like you. Abseiling down the walls of the Women's and Children's Hospital at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, to help raise funds for areas of the hospital that mean the most to you. 

We have limited spaces available for this brand new event. Registration is just £35 and includes the abseil experience with Big Bang Promotions plus a charity t-shirt. All participants are asked to raise a minimum sponsorship of £200 which will help us to continue funding amazing projects which make a huge difference to our patients, their families and our colleagues across DBTH. Please note, registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Fancy dress is encouraged, but not essential! 

FAQ's

Are there any restrictions to take part?

Age: All participants must be aged 16 or over. However, participants under 18 must be accompanied on the day by a parent or legal guardian. The parent/guardian does not need to partake in the abseil but it is encouraged! The parent or guardian must complete a Parental Consent Form prior to the event. There is no upper age limit but we encourage older participants to consult their doctors in advance.

Weight: The weight restriction for this event is 120kg (18.9 stone). If you are at, approaching or over this weight, please get in touch and we will discuss the possibility of participation with the events company.

If any of the following apply, you must seek professional medical advice before abseiling and sign a non-standard waiver.

  • High blood pressure
  • Heart condition
  • Suffer from dizziness or epilepsy
  • Damage to neck, back, spinal column, legs or eyes
  • Asthma
  • Medication – if you are taking any form of prescribed medication, please inform us of how this may affect you
  • Aged 50 years or above: we strongly advise that you seek medical advice prior to taking part.

Your £35 registration fee enables us to help cover the costs of organising the event.

Where will the abseil take place?

The abseil will take place at Doncaster Royal Infirmary down the Women's & Children's Hospital.

Doncaster Royal Infirmary Armthorpe Road Doncaster South Yorkshire DN2 5LT

Registration will take place inside the main entrance of the Women's & Children's Hospital. 

Please note unfortunatly we are unable to allocate car parking spaces to participants.

Please note, your £35 registration fee is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another participant. You can however use your registration fee to transfer to one of our other events.
